Every soap, salve, salt soak, butter and botanical preparation is handcrafted by Village Witch Apothecary; small-batch, seasonal, and made with the same care as everything else we create.

Whenever possible, we source our ingredients locally, supporting nearby growers, producers and suppliers, with an emphasis on ethical and responsible sourcing and working with the natural seasons rather than against them.

What's Inside the Apothecary?

Every month has its own seasonal theme, so the contents will change throughout the year.

Depending on the collection, you may discover: handcrafted soaps, herbal salves & balms, botanical bath salts & soaks, body butters & moisturisers, skin-care preparations, botanical oils, body scrubs, hair oils & treatments, herbal hair rinses & hair-care preparations, bath & shower products, selected apothecary teas, botanical waters & mists, and seasonal or limited-edition apothecary creations.

Not every product will appear every month, and that's part of the fun. Each collection is created around its own theme, season and selection of ingredients. Nothing is included simply to fill space.

Follow the Seasons

The Enchanted Apothecary follows the natural rhythm of the year, allowing each collection to reflect the colours, scents, botanicals and feeling of the season.

Spring may bring fresh herbs, delicate flowers and lighter preparations. Summer may celebrate bright botanicals, refreshing ingredients and sun-filled self-care. Autumn may bring warming scents, richer oils and nourishing preparations. Winter may invite comforting fragrances, deeply moisturising products and slower rituals of care.

Whenever possible, we work with seasonally available ingredients, allowing the natural availability of plants and botanicals to help shape what appears in each collection. Some collections may also take inspiration from seasonal traditions, folklore, nature and the changing year, adding another layer of inspiration to the products within.

Every season has something different to offer. So does the apothecary.

Thoughtfully Sourced

The ingredients that go into our products matter just as much as the finished products themselves.

Whenever possible, we choose locally sourced ingredients, supporting local growers, producers and suppliers while keeping our connection to the plants and materials around us.

All ingredients are sourced with consideration for:

- Seasonality ~ working with nature rather than against it
- Ethical sourcing ~ choosing suppliers and materials responsibly
- Local connections ~ supporting local sources whenever practical
- Quality ~ selecting ingredients suited to the preparation and purpose

As Village Witch Apothecary grows, we hope to increase the number of ingredients we can source locally and directly from nearby growers and producers.

A Little Apothecary Knowledge

Each collection includes informational cards for the products and key ingredients inside your box.

Depending on the month's collection, these may include: the ingredients and botanicals used, what each product is and how to use it, interesting information about featured plants, traditional uses and apothecary folklore, scent and sensory notes, the inspiration behind the seasonal collection, and relevant product care, storage or usage tips.

A Little Tea, Now & Then

Tea lovers may occasionally discover one of our Village Witch Apothecary teas tucked into their collection.

These are teas from our wider apothecary range and are separate from the exclusive blends created for The Enchanted Tea Society. The Enchanted Tea Society will always have its own exclusive seasonal tea blends, while The Enchanted Apothecary may occasionally introduce you to some of our other house-made teas.

So if you find a tea in your monthly collection, consider it a little invitation to slow down, put the kettle on and enjoy a quiet moment.

Apothecary Care Has No Gender

The Enchanted Apothecary is created for everyone.

Our collections aren't divided into men's and women's products. Instead, we curate each month's offerings around the season, ingredients and theme. That means one month might include a nourishing hair oil, while another might feature a beard oil or balm.

You may receive something that isn't quite right for your own routine ~ and that's okay. Use what speaks to you. Share what doesn't. A product that isn't right for you might become a wonderful gift for a partner, friend, family member or fellow apothecary enthusiast.

We want the freedom to create interesting and genuinely useful products without putting them into rigid categories.

The Ritual of Everyday Care

The Enchanted Apothecary is about finding a little pleasure in the everyday.
